Welcome to KHS

Kingswood House is a leading independent day school in Epsom, Surrey.

We offer a rounded co-education up to GCSE and a purposeful, supportive ethos in which each child will grow in confidence to achieve their full potential.

Kingswood House is recognised as “excellent in all areas” in our last ISI inspection, March 2023 and endorsed by the Independent Association of Preparatory Schools (IAPS) and the Society of Heads (SoH). You are warmly invited to explore the benefits of a KHS education in person through a bespoke tour at your convenience.

If you are interested in sending your son, or daughter to Kingswood House, please contact our Head of Admissions, Mrs Zoe Ashton,  admissions@kingswoodhouse.org who will be happy to guide you through our admissions process.

We look forward to welcoming you to Kingswood House.

Our next OPEN MORNING is on Friday 3rd May; limited spaces available for tours, but please do get in contact if you are interested!

Scholarships are awarded to bright and talented pupils for entry into Year 7 and Year 9. Assessments take place in February (11+ & 13+) the year prior to entry and applications are open to both internal and external candidates. Academic or All-Rounder awards are offered up to a value of 30% of tuition fees. Additional bursarial support is available, where there is a genuine need, of up to 100% of tuition fees.

The Governors of Kingswood House School are committed to broadening access to the school by offering to eligible parents or guardians means-tested financial support with the payment of schools fees. Such support is known as a Bursary and these may be awarded in the form of a discount of up to 100% on tuition fees payable, depending on the financial, compassionate or other pertinent circumstances of applicants.

Further information is available on our ‘Scholarships and Bursaries’ page.

Please Note: Parents have a responsibility to inform the prospective school of any issues/conditions and disclose any reports both medical and academic relating to the applicant. Withholding information may necessitate the School reviewing their offer of a place.

Welcome to the Head

“It’s a huge privilege to be coming in as Head at Kingswood House, particularly in this its 125th year. KHS is an exciting, kind, progressive and ambitious school and I’m looking forward to building on the foundations laid by my predecessors to take the school from strength to strength”.
